Lord Judge, the Lord Chief Justice, John Whittingdale MP, chairman of the House of Commons Select Committee for Culture Media and Sport and Baroness Peta Buscombe and Sir Christopher Meyer , the new and immediate past chairmen of the Press Complaints Commission attended a small reception at the Press Association hosted by the president Nigel Pickover to mark the tenth anniversary of the merger of the Guild of Editors and the Association of British Editors into the Society of Editors in April 1999.
