The Editors’ Code Book
In 2005 The Editors’ Codebook was published to bring together the Code and the case law developed through years of PCC adjudications, matching the cases to the rules, so that journalists can draw on what is a unique bank of experience.
Written by Ian Beales, secretary of the Code Committee it was endorsed by the Society of Editors.
Executive director Bob Satchwell said: “This is not just an essential handbook which will become an asset in every newsroom, it is also a further testament to the industry’s commitment to making self-regulation work.”
