Multi-skilling is no longer a dirty word. Convergence is the watchword of modern media organisations so what will the new generation of journalists need to know and how will they be trained?
3.00 pm The public's right to know
Despite exposing wrongs, calling politicians and business people to account, as well as comforting the afflicted, the media is still questioned and gagged. What are the latest threats to the media’s ability to report on behalf of the public? What are the issues that top the SoE’s campaigning agenda?

At the prestigious Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum that will be fresh from a major £27.9 million refurbishment funded by the City Council and the Heritage Lottery fund.
The dinner will help to raise funds for The Journalists Charity.
